Curran to start for Tyrone against Kerry

Mickey Harte has made just one change for this weekend’s repeat of the All-Ireland final at Healy Park in Omagh. Johnny Curran will replace John Devine in goal for the visit of Kerry with the side otherwise unchanged.

Having overcome Dublin under the lights in a memorable match at Croke Park at fortnight ago, manager Mickey Harte has resisted any temptation to make wholesale changes.

Joe McMahon has been retained in the half forward line, seemingly ruling out any switch to defence to counter Kerry’s big front men. McMahon was successfully deployed alongside younger brother Justin in defence during the All-Ireland triumph last September.

Kerry boss Jack O’Connor, who welcomed Mike Frank Russell back to training this week, has yet to announce his starting line-up.

Matty Forde is back in the Wexford team for their clash with Monaghan. Forde has recovered from the injury that limited his involvement against Armagh in Round One and will start at corner forward.
