Leinster second row Leo Cullen was today called into the Ireland squad for the tour to New Zealand.

While Ireland coach Eddie O'Sullivan has had to make three enforced changes to his back division, Cullen was invited to join the squad as an additional forward.

O'Sullivan has already lost Shane Horgan, Anthony Horgan and Rob Henderson from his original party, leading to call-ups for Sale's Mel Deane, Ulster's Tyrone Howe and John O'Neill of Munster.

Ireland depart on Saturday and play the first game of their three-match tour against a New Zealand Divisional XV in Timaru on June 8th.

They play two tests against New Zealand, the first in Dunedin on June 15th and the second in Auckland on June 22nd.
