Aberdeen - One of the victims of a nun convicted of four charges of child cruelty yesterday wept and spoke of her anger after Marie Docherty (58) walked free.

Docherty was admonished at Aberdeen Sheriff Court after being found guilty a week ago of slapping and force-feeding vulnerable youngsters at two homes in the 1960s and 1970s.

Docherty, also known as Sister Alphonso, will be subject to no punishment for her crimes except her criminal record.
