Man in his 30s suffering from non-life threatening injuries following attack

A 26 year-old woman has been arrested following an incident in Drogheda last night in which a man was stabbed.

Gardaí in Drogheda were called to a house in the in the Lia Bhrega estate at 3am.

They confirmed the man, who is in his 30’s, received a non-life threatening stab wound to the back of his neck.

The man is receiving treatment in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.

A woman, said by gardaí to be 26 years-old, was arrested at the scene. She is expected to appear before Drogheda district court early in the New Year.
