Two teenagers due in court over Galway stabbing

Incident took place in laneway beside Salthill’s Knocknacarra Church at 3am on Saturday

Two teenagers were due to appear at Galway District Court this morning over a stabbing at the weekend.

The two were arrested in Galway city. Gardaí­ in Salthill are investigating the incident, which happened in the early hours of Saturday but was only reported ­that night.

An 18-year-old man was taken to Galway University Hospital with stab wounds. He is reported to be in serious condition.

The stabbing occurred in a laneway beside Knocknacarra Church in Salthill at 3am on Saturday.
