Gardaí seize drugs after stopping car on Rathgar Road

Two men have been arrested in Dublin after gardaí found cannabis valued at €25,000 during the search of a car.

Gardaí stopped the car and two male occupants on Rathgar Road in the south city at 5pm yesterday. Gardaí searched the men in their 20s and discovered some cannabis herb.

However they discovered more cannabis in the car when they brought it to to Terenure Garda station and undertook a full search.

Gardai made a seizure of cannabis, cannabis herb, ecstasy, cocaine and drug paraphernalia when they later searched two properties in the city.

The men have been released and gardai are preparing a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
