Two held following suspicious Co Derry death

Two people have been arrested in Co Derry by police investigating the death of a man in the early hours of Saturday.

The PSNI is trying to establish the circumstances in which the 46-year-old man was found outside a residential premises in the Strand Road area of Coleraine shortly before 4am.

He was brought to hospital for treatment for head injuries, but was later pronounced dead.

A man and a woman have been arrested, a PSNI spokesman said.

“They are helping police with their enquiries while the facts are being established,” he said.
