Two handguns, three silencers and ammunition seized in Dublin

Two handguns, three silencers and 105 rounds of 9mm ammunition were seized by gardaí during a search operation in Dublin on Thursday evening.

The guns, along with a small amount of cannabis, were found at a domestic premises in a residential estate in Clondalkin, Dublin 22.

The operation was conducted by gardaí from Ronanstown garda station, with the assistance of the Ronanstown detective unit.

The search occurred after gardaí received information relating to an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of drugs in the Clondalkin area.

All of the firearms have been sent to the Garda Ballistics Unit for analysis.

No one was arrested during the search, and gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
