Gardaí begin investigation in Ballincollig as injured trio treated at Mercy hospital

Gardaí have begun an investigation after three men were attacked and stabbed during a row in a housing estate in Ballincollig in Co Cork on Tuesday night.

The three injured men, all Latvians in their late teens and early 20s, were stabbed when a row broke out with a number of other men in the Castlepark Estate in Ballincollig at around 9.30pm.

The three injured men were taken to the Mercy University Hospital in Cork city where they were treated for their injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

It is understood that gardaí are hoping to speak to the men but in the meantime they have begun door to door inquiries and a technical examination of the scene.
