Gardaí have arrested three men and seized a gun and drugs in an operation in west Dublin.
A Garda spokesman said that members of the Ronanstown Drugs Unit stopped and searched a car at Greenfort Avenue in Clondalkin just before 7pm.
The spokesman said: “During the search they recovered a shotgun, subject to ballistic examination, and seized a quantity of cocaine, pending analysis.”
The occupants of the car, three men in their 20s, were arrested at the scene and are now being detained at Ronanstown and Clondalkin garda stations under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act.
The spokesman said: “The investigation is ongoing and further updates will follow.”
