Gardaí in Co Mayo have arrested a teenager following a stabbing in Castlebar this afternoon.
A man in his late teens was taken to hospital following the incident which occurred in Market Square at about 1.35pm.
A Garda spokesman said the injuries were not life threatening.
The teenage suspect was arrested a short time after the incident and taken to Castlebar Garda station where he is being held under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
