Search under way for missing Galway student (19)

Gardaí and members of the public are searching for a missing 19-year-old Galway student who has not been seen since Thursday morning.

Tiernán Archer was last seen at the Galway Technical Institute where he studies at 9am yesterday, and his family has launched an appeal on social media for in a bid to find him.

According toa public Facebook post by his brother Breffni, a camera bag belonging to Tiernán Archer was found in South Park, close to the college campus.

The bag is described as “a valued possession of his that he would not misplace”. It was added that Tiernán Archer usually wears thick framed glasses and has light facial hair.
