Ex-Manchester United and Republic of Ireland soccer player Roy Keane is due to appear in court on Wednesday over an alleged road-rage incident with a taxi driver.

Keane, 43, is said to have behaved aggressively towards taxi driver Fateh Kerar, 44, near traffic lights in Ashley Road, Altrincham, on January 30th.

He was summonsed to appear at Trafford Magistrates’ Court to face an allegation that he committed a Section 4A Public Order offence, which is classed as disorderly behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

Mr Kerar, from Altrincham, says an altercation took place after he and his passenger noticed Keane in his Range Rover vehicle.
