Revenue seizes four puppies without passports at Dublin Port

Four puppies who did not have pet passports and were not microchipped were seized by revenue officers at Dublin Port.

Revenue officers took custody of four puppies when they stopped and questioned two Irish nationals, in routine operations.

The couple were travelling to the UK in a people carrier, and did not have pet passports for the puppies, nor were the dogs microchipped as required under the Animal Health and Welfare Act 2013.

The Jack Russell puppies three males and one female, were transferred into the care of the DSPCA, where they are receiving veterinary attention.
