PSNI arrests four in paramilitary inquiry

Men held after house searches in Co Derry

Four men have been arrested as part of a PSNI investigation into paramilitary activity in the North.

The men, aged between 31 and 62, were detained after officers searched properties in the Dungiven area of Co Derry. The arrests were in relation to shootings and threats.

Det Chief Insp Una Jennings said: "We are investigating various forms of paramilitary activity in the area . . . over the last four years."

The suspects have been taken to the serious crimes suite in Co Antrim for questioning.
