Police in Northern Ireland are searching for two masked kidnappers who abducted a man at knifepoint in Co Down.

Police in Northern Ireland are searching for two masked kidnappers who abducted a man at knifepoint in Co Down.

The 27-year-old was bundled into a white high top Transit van while walking in the Bryansburn Road area of Bangor.

He was driven around but was freed uninjured in the Crawfordsburn Road area of Newtownards a short time later. The kidnappers wore balaclavas to conceal their identity.

One was described as being about 1.8m tall, of heavy build, with green eyes and was wearing a black puff jacket, black Adidas tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

The other man is described as being approximately 1.8m tall, of heavy build and was wearing a black leather jacket, dark jeans and white trainers.

The incident happened at about 10am on Thursday, however details have only just been released by police.
