Gardaí investigating explosion in which no one was injured

A pipe bomb planted in a residential area in Clonsaugh, north Dublin exploded on Sunday night.

The improvised device, which was left outside the front door of a home in Newbury Park, Dublin 17, exploded at about 10pm on Sunday night. There were no injuries in the incident.

Gardaí and members of the army bomb disposal unit attended the scene shortly before midnight to carry out an analysis of the site. The area was declared safe at 12.50am.
