A man in his 60s has been killed following a crash in Cork earlier this evening.
The pedestrian was hit by a car at approximately 6.45pm on the N25 Carrigtwohill to Midleton Road in Cobh.
His body remains at the scene as gardai continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. Nobody else was injured as a result.
Just one lane of the road has been left open to traffic while forensic examinations continue.
