Motorcyclist (40s) killed in single-vehicle Kildare crash

A motorcyclist in his 40s has died in a single-vehicle crash in Kildare early on Monday morning.

The incident happened on the R413 between Kilcullen and Mile Mill in the east of the county at about 1am.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene and there were no other injuries reported.

The road remains closed for a Garda forensic investigation, and local diversions are in place.
