Man suffers serious head injuries in Cobh incident

Man remains in intensive care as gardaí issue appeal for information on Cork incident

Gardaí in Co Cork have issued an appeal over an incident in Cobh that left a man with serious head injuries.

The 24-year-old was walking along the High Road in the town between 2am and 2.30am on December 27th when he was pushed or struck.

The man fell to the ground, striking his head against the road.

He was then rushed to Cork University Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition in the hospital’s intensive care unit.

The young man, who is from Cobh, was with a young woman on the night in question.

They had been joined by another young man at the time of the incident.

Gardaí have appealed to anyone with any information on the incident to contact them at Cobh Garda station on 021-490853.
