Man seriously injured in Dublin city centre assault

Victim attacked on Fishamble Street at 2am is being treated in hospital

A man is being treated in hospital for very serious injuries this morning after being attacked in Dublin city centre.

The victim in his 30s was assaulted and robbed on Fishamble Street at about 2am this morning.

He was sent to St James’s Hospital where he is being treated for very serious injuries. However his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Gardaí in Pearse Street are investigating and have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
