Man in serious condition after being shot in north Dublin

Gardaí appeal for information on shooting in Coolock on Wednesday night

A man is being treated for serious gunshot wounds after a shooting in the Coolock area of north Dublin on Wednesday night.

A Garda spokesman confirmed officers were investigating the firing of a gun shortly after 9pm that night.

The man, who is in his 30s, was taken to Beaumont Hospital.

A technical examination of the scene was carried out on Thursday morning, and no arrests have been made.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information in relation to the shooting, or who were in the Belcamp area between 9pm and 10pm on Wednesday night to contact Coolock Garda station on 01 666 4200, or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
