A man has been arrested in Dublin over an alleged false imprisonment in the city last Sunday.
The 47-year-old was arrested in the Beaumont area shortly after 9am, a Garda spokesman said.
He is being questioned at Mountjoy Garda station under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
Investigations are continuing.
