A 43-year-old man has been arrested after cannabis plants with an estimated street value of up to €300,000 were found at a house at Church Manor, Carrigallen, Co Leitrim this morning.

He is being held at Carrick–On-Shannon garda station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

The planned search was part of on-going intelligence-led operations targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the county.
