Man charged over fatal stabbing in Shankill

Wayne Kennedy also charged with assault causing harm to a second man

A man has appeared at Bray District Court charged with the fatal stabbing of David Spain on St Stephens' Day in Shankill, south Dublin.

Wayne Kennedy (32), with an address at Rathsallagh Park, Shankill, was also charged with assault causing harm to a second man in Shankill, Co Dublin.

He was remanded in custody and will appear before Cloverhill District Court next Friday.

Mr Spain (26) died from stab wounds after a row outside a party in his parents’ house in Rathsallagh Park at 5.15am on December 26th.

A friend of the deceased was also attacked and stabbed. He survived and remains in a critical condition in St Vincent’s hospital in Dublin.
