Man arrested over violent carjacking in Ballsbridge

Woman was seriously injured after being assaulted outside her apartment

A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with a violent carjacking in Ballsbridge in Dublin last week in which a woman in her late 50s was seriously injured.

The woman was assaulted by a man and a woman outside her apartment complex at Argyle House on Serpentine Avenue, Ballsbridge in Dublin, at about 2pm on Monday April 21st and her car was driven away.

The car, a dark grey Ford Focus 03 D 55722, was found the next day in the Kevin Street area of the city.

The man was arrested yesterday afternoon and is being held at Irishtown Garda Station.
