Man arrested after three youths robbed in Co Clare

Gardaí in Co Clare arrested a man (18) last night following the robbery of three young men.

A Garda spokesman said the victims were threatened with a knife in at Drumgeely, Shannon at about 7.30pm and were forced to hand over a small amount of cash.

The suspect was arrested a short time later in the area. A knife and cash was recovered.

The man was taken to Shannon Garda station and later released without charged. A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
