Man (55) arrested over arson attack in north Belfast

Police say blaze started deliberately inside the property on Glencairn Crescent

A 55-year-old man has been arrested after a suspected arson attack on a house in Belfast.

A 55-year-old man has been arrested after a suspected arson attack on a house in Belfast.

Police said the blaze was started deliberately inside the property on Glencairn Crescent in the north of the city at about 6.30pm on Saturday.

The house, which was empty at the time, was completely gutted.

PSNI detectives have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
