A 41-year-old man was injured last night in a shooting in Ballyconnell, Co Cavan, last night.
The incident happened at at Aghalane Bridge at about 7.15pm.
The man was taken to Cavan General Hospital where his injuries are described as not life threatening.
The scene has been preserved for technical examination.
