Man (36) found dead in Longford apartment

Gardaí in Longford town are investigating the full circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a 36-year-old man in an apartment at Harbour Point in the town.

The discovery was made at about 9am yesterday morning.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore Hospital where a postmortem was carried out.

The scene remains preserved for a Garda forensic examination and investigations are ongoing
