Heroin worth €1.5 million seized in Rosslare

Customs discover drugs hidden in SUV that had disembarked a ferry from France

Heroin with an estimated street value of €1.5 million has been seized at Rosslare Europort.

Officers from Revenue’s Customs Division found 10.26kg of the drug in a Mercedes SUV that had disembarked a ferry from France.

Following routine profiling, Revenue’s sniffer dog Ralph indicated there were drugs in the vehicle.

It was then scanned by Customs and he drugs were found concealed in the vehicle.

A Dutch man in his 60s was arrested and is being taken to Wexford Garda station.
