Gardaí seize 7,000 counterfeit cigarettes in Dublin market

Almost 7,000 counterfeit cigarettes have been seized by gardaí in north Dublin today.

Counterfeit DVDs were also confiscated at the Balbriggan Sunday Market.

During 2013 a specialist Garda unit has seized more than 60,000 items of contraband cigarettes and tobacco, 12,000 counterfeit DVDs and CDs and items of clothing and cosmetics, resulting in 10 arrests, all successfully prosecuted.
