A man has been arrested by detectives investigating the murder of another man in Donegal.

The 37-year-old man is being questioned about the killing of Bogdan Michalkiawicz in Letterkenny last month.

He is being detained at Letterkenny Garda station under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

The body of Mr Michalkiawicz (41), was found at Westside Apartments in the town on May 15th.

Investigators said he had suffered “horrific injuries”.

Originally from Poland, Mr Michalkiawicz had been living in Letterkenny for some time.

He was last seen alive two days before his body was found.
