Drugs worth €70,000 recovered amid trafficking investigation

Gardaí have recovered drugs worth more than €70,000 following the search of a wooded area in Co Tipperary.

This afternoon’s find came as part of an ongoing investigation into trafficking in the area.

Cannabis resin with a value of around €70,000 was uncovered at the site in Carrigeen near Clonmel, as well as a quantity of cocaine worth some €3,000.

No arrests were made but enquiries are continuing.
