Gardaí arrest three after gun found in Co Louth

Three men have been arrested following the seizure of a gun by gardai in Co Louth last night.

Gardaí discovered the firearm shortly after 9pm while searching a car at Greenacres in Dundalk, Co Louth.

They arrested a 40-year-old man and two others in their late twenties at the scene.

The three men are being questioned at Dundalk Garda station under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939.
