Four people have been arrested in connection with a Co Louth post office robbery that took place in May.

Gardaí investigating the incident, which occured in Clogherhead on May 3rd, arrested on Monday morning three men aged 30, 33 and 42 as well as a 23-year-old woman.

They were detained at Balbriggan, Dundalk, Drogheda and Navan Garda Stations.

A number of premises were searched on Monday in the Drogheda District in connection with this investigation.

Three men, one in possession of a firearm, entered the Post Office at Clogherhead on May 3rd, threatened staff and fled the scene with a large amount of cash. No injuries were reported.
