Eight arrested following spate of south Dublin burglaries

Stolen jewellery, computers and vehicle recovered by gardaí

Gardaí are questioning eight people after recovering stolen jewellery, clothing, computers, electronic equipment and a car.

It is believed the items were taken in a series of break ins in south Dublin.

Seven men in their late teens and early twenties, and one woman (21), were arrested by gardaí this morning following searches of homes in Tallaght and Wicklow.

The searches were carried out as part of Operation Acer, a local operation put in place by officers from the detective units, the crime task force and drugs units to combat burglaries in Dún Laoghaire, Blackrock, Dundrum and Cabinteely.
