Date set for extradition hearing of man suspected of IRA attack

The extradition case of a man suspected of being involved in a Provisional IRA mortar attack on a British army barracks in Germany will be heard in October.

James Anthony Oliver Albert Corry (46) was arrested in Killorglin, Co Kerry, last October on foot of a European Arrest Warrant issued by German authorities.

Mr Corry is suspected of being involved in a Provisional IRA attack in Osnabruck, Germany in 1996 in which three mortar shells were fired at a British army barracks.

At the High Court on Monday, Ms Justice Aileen Donnelly fixed a hearing date of October 5th for Mr Corry's case and remanded him on continuing bail until that date.
