Stacey Doran charged with arson at John Brown’s property in Co Donegal

A woman has pleaded guilty to setting fire to a house belonging to a brother of singer and former presidential candidate Dana Rosemary Scallon.

Stacey Doran appeared at Letterkenny Circuit Court in Co Donegal on Tuesday.

She is charged with arson at a property belonging to John Brown at Main Street, Newtowncunningham on April 11th 2011.

Ms Doran (29), of Ballybegley, Newtowncunningham, pleaded guilty to the charge but said nothing else.

She is charged along with another woman who is also before the courts in relation to the same charge.

Judge John O’Hagan adjourned the case until April 2015 for sentence and asked to examine suitability for a probation or community service report.
