An action in which Minister for Health, James Reilly was sued over an alleged unpaid debt in relation to a planned private medical centre has been settled at the High Court on confidential terms.

James Reilly was jointly sued, along with his business partners, by a firm of architects for €100,000 allegedly owed for work on the proposed Airside Clinic in Swords, Co Dublin.

PM Group was hired in 2007 to draw up plans for the multi-million euro, four-storey private medical centre, for which work never started despite planning permission being granted. Minister Reilly and the other defendants denied the claims.

When the case was called before Mr Justice Paul Gilligan today, David Dodd, for PM Group, told the judge it was before the court via an application to enter final judgment.

However, the case had settled and could be adjourned for mention only to October 5th next to facilitate the making of a final payment, Mr Dodd said.

The settlement was confidential and the terms would be handed into court later today, counsel added.
