Barristers launch new eCourt App

Two barristers have designed software that would make it easier to share and handle documents in court.

Created to save time, paper and money, the software would allow for the presentation of pleadings, exhibits, correspondence and other documents by means of one iPad broadcasting to other iPads.

It allows files to be downloaded by all parties in advance of the hearing, while parties – including the judge – may also make private notes on the downloaded file and access internet databases.

The eCourt App, developed by barristers Dáithí Mac Cárthaigh and Kieran Morris, will be launched on Monday, January 20th at 5pm in the Bar Room and the King's Inns.
