PSNI appeal for information following discovery in a field in the Carnaghliss Road area

Police in Northern Ireland have appealed for information following the discovery of an ATM machine in a burnt-out van in Co Antrim.

The PSNI received a report at 11.30am on Saturday that a burnt-out Transit-type van, containing what appeared to be the remnants of an ATM machine, had been discovered in a field in the Carnaghliss Road area.

A PSNI representative said the fire occurred about 10.30pm on Friday.

“Fire services attended and have ruled this to be deliberate ignition. Our enquiries are at an early stage, and we are working to establish where the vehicle and machine were stolen from.
