Gardaí in Dublin are investigating after two men threatened staff of a jewellery shop with a gun before making off with valuable jewellery, including trays of gold rings.
At about 5pm, the two men carrying a firearm entered the shop on Aungier Street in the south city centre.
They threatened staff before making off with a quantity of jewellery which included three display trays containing gold rings, a Garda spokesman said.
The raiders escaped in a grey Opel Astra which they abandoned a short distance away on Aungier Lane.
Gardaí said the first man was well over 182cm (6ft) and was wearing a blue balaclava, a sleeveless yellow high-visibility jacket, a blue hooded top, jeans and runners.
The second raider was smaller in height (between 178cm and 182cm) and was wearing jeans, a blue top, a sleeveless yellow high-visibility jacket and a blue hard hat.
Both are thought to be aged in their late 20s or early 30s.
Gardaí are also seeking information on a grey Opel Astra, for which they have the partial registration 07–C, which was used in the raid.
This car was taken during a burglary on the night of November 9th in the Harold’s Cross area.
