A postmortem on the body of a 68-year-old man whose body was found in a house in Cork City yesterday has concluded he died accidentally.

The body of John Connolly was found by a neighbour when she called to his house at Shournagh Lawn, Togher at around noon.

Pathologist Dr Margaret Bolster carried out the postmortem examination at Cork University Hospital this morning. A Garda spokesman said they were no longer treating the death as suspicious.
