Cork manager Gerald McCarthy has opted to include championship newcomers Paudie O'Sullivan and Kevin Canty in his side to face Tipperary in the Munster hurling semi-final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Sunday.

After an impressive finish to the league campaign, Cloyne clubman O'Sullivan will start at left corner forward.

Canty begins at centre forward, while Joe Deane is relegated to the bench with Pa Cronin leading the line at full forward.

O'Sullivan's brother Diarmuid, a permanent fixture in the rebels defence, will start with Shane O'Neill and Brian Murphy, behind a half back line of John Gardiner, Ronan Curran and Sean Og O'hAilpin.

Tipperary manager Liam Sheedy will name his team on Thursday evening to allow time for All-Star defender Eamonn Corcoran as he tries to shake an ankle injury.
