Beijing - A Beijing court convicted two couples of bigamy yesterday, signalling a willingness by the government to crack down on the growing male practice of keeping mistresses, state press reported.
Luo Yugang (54), was sentenced to 10 months in prison for bigamy and his live-in-mistress, Li Fuying (22), was given a commuted six-month sentence and placed on a year's probation, the Beijing Evening News reported.
