Three east Tyrone teenagers were given suspended sentences in a young offenders' centre at Cookstown Juvenile Court yesterday for attempting to hijack a bus. The youths, all aged 17, were also convicted of possessing an imitation firearm and conspiring to destroy the bus at Stewartstown in July last year. Two of the defendants received sentences of seven months while the third got 12 months.
