This heavy pot has an anodized body which means it’s twice as hard as stainless steel. It has high sides and the non-stick interior is excellent so burnt milk and burnt scrambled egg practically walked off it. It is also oven safe up to 180 degrees and comes with a toughened glass lid and a lifetime guarantee

It is a fine product but the price is ridiculous. We bought it in the Arnotts’ sale when it went from €82.50 to €32.50 which made it excellent value for money

This is another heavyweight pot which should last a long time as long as it is not abused. The silicon handle is both non-slip and doesn’t conduct unnecessary heat. It has high edges, a thick base which distributes heat evenly and a very snug fitting lid with a silicon handle. Like the Anolon option, the non-stick surface is superb

It is dear and dishwasher unfriendly

When it comes to shininess this pot wins hands down. We also liked the fact that it could be chucked in the dishwasher. It also has a measuring system on the inside which we found handy

It is too expensive and at this price we’d like our burnt milk come off the base without scrubbing as opposed to loads of vigorous scrubbing as was the case here. After boiling water for just 15 minutes the metal handle was almost too hot to hold which was another minus

This is a very cheap pan and it will certainly boil and cook without fuss. The non-stick surface is okay and the plastic handle will never burn your hands

LOWS

It may not last very long if Price Watch’s experience is anything to go by. We used this daily for less than two months after which it started to take on a distressed look. The base is very thin, which helped it burn our milk and eggs, and cleaning it was never as easy as we thought it should have been
