CO2 emissions slashed: Tesco is to open its first Irish "eco store" in Tramore, Co Waterford, later this year at a cost of €12.5 million.
The store will use 45 per cent less energy than a normal Tesco branch, reducing CO2 emissions by 30 per cent. The move is part of a €30 million investment by the company to reduce the environmental impact of its Irish stores.
