Testing times: Some companies are playing on people's fears about food intolerances to sell expensive tests which deliver highly inconsistent results, according to British consumer group Which?

Its researchers trialled a range of tests that claimed to diagnose food intolerances in tests ranging from blood samples to kinesiology. The tests indicated 183 intolerances, even though the researchers had just one medically confirmed allergy and one food intolerance between them.
